I Wrote Over 950,000 Words in 2025. Here’s What It Taught Me About Email Marketing, Flodesk, and Sustainable Growth for Women in Business.

What entrepreneurs and CEOs need to know about the invisible workload behind content, email marketing, and everyday communication


Every year, I take time to look back at what I created. Not the highlight reel, but the real work. The behind the scenes tasks that keep businesses running. This year, when I ran the numbers, I found something that surprised me more than anything else.


In 2025, I wrote more than nine hundred fifty thousand words for the businesses I support.

If you pause and think about it, that’s the length of more than twelve books. Twelve. And those words didn’t come from one big project. They came from every email, every workflow, every strategy document, every newsletter, every caption, every sales page, and every piece of content that keeps a brand visible and moving forward.


Most entrepreneurs, especially women in business, don’t realize how much writing they’re doing each year. It’s thousands of words a week, squeezed in between client meetings, carpool, dinner prep, team updates, and the endless list of responsibilities that come with running a business and a household. When people talk about “the invisible workload,” this is part of it. Content creation and email marketing are not small tasks. They require focus, clarity, strategy, and time.

When I broke down what made up this nine hundred fifty thousand word total, it looked like this:



  • 354 emails

  • 312 captions

  • 142 reel scripts with captions

  • 89 carousels

  • Multiple brand messaging guides

  • Sales pages, nurture sequences, onboarding workflows, and launch campaigns

  • Dozens of strategy and planning documents

  • Hundreds of small drafts, outlines, updates, and behind the scenes pieces no one ever sees


Nearly all of that work ties back to two core areas. Email marketing and content strategy. The two pieces of a business that have the highest impact on growth, customer relationships, and long term success, yet are often the most difficult for entrepreneurs to keep up with.
